what if.everyone had tracking devices inserted in them?
Megan asked:
ok this might sound crazy but it just seems like a good idea to me.
i know it would invade peoples privacy. but what if when you were born, you had a gps type tracking device chip thingy inserted somewhere. and the gov had like access to it only with a warrent.
that seems like it would solve a lot of our problems today..missing children, suspects of crime.. like if they have a really good reason to look up where you were at a certain time, and they got a warrent from a judge
i know this would be expensive..but idk it seems like life would be less complicated
ok ok i guess i see where your coming from.

We already have them, though they aren’t built in. We call them cellphones. Any cellphone in the world can be tracked to an accuracy of about 3 feet…Might be even more accurate now as a few years ago it was 200 feet.
During the Chechen War in Russia, a Chechen rebel leader was taken out by a guided missile fired from a jet fighter, all because he made a call on his cellphone. This call was intercepted by a listening station in Moscow, and an order was sent to a military jet patrolling in the area. Within a few minutes he was dead. Scary isn’t it ?
